[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]First dates can and should be fun. In fact, enjoying your first date is an essential part of getting to a second and third date and beyond. But what happens when your first date doesn't go well? Or, worse yet, when you go on a number of first dates and none of them go well? Disappointment and frustration happens - which can lead you to lose confidence in your dating approach, which only makes things worse. But here's the good news: it doesn't have to be this way. Follow this simple advice and watch first dates turn into second dates and (eventually) lasting relationships:
  • When on your first date, focus MORE on ensuring your date is enjoying themselves, and LESS on your own feelings.
  • Why?  If your date is having fun, you'll likely have fun as well. They'll also show their best side, and you'll show yours too. The chances of a second date (a MUCH better time to truly get to know someone) will therefore be much higher.
  • How? Be prepared, be on time, make an effort, tell some funny stories, focus on topics and things that your date enjoys. Above all, stay focused on them and them alone (ie. put your smartphone away!).
